Greetings all!
As many of you know, our Disney trip is scheduled for Thursday April 11th, 2024. Students will arrive to the choir room first thing in the morning at the start of the school day wearing their choir shirt and school appropriate bottoms and shoes. Students should plan to bring snacks or money with them and a water bottle to carry around in a small bag of their choosing but please remember that all bags will be searched as they enter any Disney property. If there is anything we need to know about your student ahead of time, please let us know. Anything that your child may need for that day, please make sure they bring with them. If your child has a medical condition that needs to be addressed with us or has medication that needs to be administered to them, please let us know as well so we can ensure it happens. All students are highly encouraged to eat a meal before they arrive to school and make sure they have lunch and dinner with them or bring money to get lunch on their own while at the park. Our workshop time is set for 5:30 PM and we will head home after that. Our tentative itinerary is as follows. 7:25-7:30 AM - Arrive at LHS 8:00 AM - Depart LHS for Disney 10:00 AM - Arrive at Disney Property (Magic Kingdom) 10:00 AM-4:30 PM - Disney bounding in small groups of at least 3 4:30 PM - Meet at entrance to Disney park to get ready to leave 4:45 PM - Leave Magic Kingdom to head to Saratoga Springs resort for workshop 5:30 PM-8:00 PM - Disney Recording Workshop 8:00 PM - Depart Disney Property 9:45-10:00 PM - Arrive back at LHS If you have any questions regarding any of this, please feel free to reach out to me. We are very happy to announce that we are planning a Disney recording workshop for our kids. The date is set for April 11th at the moment, barring nothing needs to change. The trip will include a Disney soundtracks recording session and one day admission to a park. Cost for students will cover workshop, park admission, and transportation to and from Disney. We have only just begun to plan for it but it has a very quick turnaround time for Disney as we need to order tickets by Monday, February 26th. Please go through the information and confirmation for those who are planning on going so that we can get everything squared away for the deadline. If your child doesn't have a choir t-shirt, they will need one for the event if they' re going. Please use the document below to order the t-shirts and pay. You can do it all online once you open the document!
This past Saturday, some of our students took part in our county’s Vocal Solo and Ensemble event and did an incredible job. All of our students who participated received the highest rating of superior in at least one of their events that they signed up for. These students are:
Blake LeBlanc – Superior on vocal solo Asia Hartell – Superior on vocal solo Lindsey Roeske – Superior on vocal solo and Excellent on musical theater solo Marin Covington – Superior on musical theater solo We are very proud of all of them! We are proud to announce that our Madrigals Dinner has been set for Friday, December 22nd at Calvary Church of Seminole (6115 113th Street North, Seminole, Florida 33772, United States) with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Our menu will include; Roast Chicken Vegetable and Barley Pottage Beef Stew in Bread Bowl Garlic and Rosemary Pork Shoulder Baked Potato Apple Crisp Wassail Hot Mulled Cider Tickets are $50 each (or three cows and one goat) $240 for a table of six $35 for Madrigal Alumni To purchase tickets, please fill out the form below in the button and then choose your payment - be aware that you will not be charged anything on the button and must then pay in cash, check, or use the Venmo below.
